It’s about that time to watch Utena again

It’s been about ten years since I’ve watched Utena, so it’a time to watch it again. I don’t have a set watch schedule, but I’ll post here with thoughts as I re-watch.

whats it like to independently watch things

I like it. It’s sometimes more fun when you watch with others, but I actually slightly prefer watching new things on my own because one of my watch partners likes to pause things and go on deep dives in the middle of episodes, and while I often indulge him sometimes it’s a little frustrating.

(For anyone reading this: the digressing watch partner is not Dauros who is a good and sweet boy.)

He’s a very insightful guy - rewatching Eva with him was fun and it was much, much better because I had seen it and we can geek out about it.

I agreed to watch Twin Peaks with him, and I’m excited because he’s a HUGE David Lynch fan, but I’m concerned that he’s going to break in while I’m still absorbing.
